Laurencetown, Lenaderg and Tullylish Community Association (LLTCA) is excited to announce their new Connecting the Community Project.

Connecting the Community is supporting local  people aged 65+ in the Laurencetown and surrounding areas, such as Bleary, Loughbrickland, Tandragee, Scarva, Donacloney, Waringstown, Banbridge and the outskirts of Lurgan and Portadown.

Connecting the Community is offering tailored 1-1 support with:

  • Using Technology

We offer friendly introductions to Zoom, setting up an email, and becoming more aware of what you can do online and what the internet can do for you.

  • Befriending

Explore new things to do with our volunteers – such as going for a walk, trying out different activities, joining new groups or simply meeting for a coffee.

  • Time out for Carers

We want to support much-valued older carers and give them time to themselves.

We will also help you get to know more about local activities and services that you could benefit from.

We want those aged 65+ keep well, be independent, have a fulfilled life and have strong, trustworthy and dependable connections.

Get in touch

If you would like to access support from us, whether for yourself, someone you know or if you work with people aged 65+, do not hesitate to contact us.

Volunteer

If you have good people skills and are looking for a way to give back  to the community, why not volunteer? We need extra hands to offer support with technology, befriending and time out for carers.
